What is Alumni Class Wars?
Alumni Class Wars is a year-long competition between graduating class years. Each graduating class year that participates will need a volunteer captain to help run their team. At the end of 2007 the teams with the highest total donations, percentage of team members participating, and average donation per person will get their team name on a plaque that will be hung in the chapter room of our new house. What is the goal of the campaign? The goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of 2007 to cover the expenses of buying new furniture and other necessities needed to fill the new chapter house. Any amounts over $10,000 that are raised will be saved towards the purchase of new house in the future. What is the timeline for this campaign? The Alumni Class Wars has already begun and will run through the end of 2007. Engraved plaques will awarded at IRD in the beginning of 2008 to the winning teams and then hung in the chapter room of the new house. What do the active Sisters think about the campaign? The sisters are very excited about the competition and have agreed that any alumni donations they collect will also be counted towards the Class Wars competition. The active sisters are also supporting the new house project financially by running their own fundraising efforts. Why should I give? When you were an AGD at RPI, somebody provided something special for you. This is your chance to give back. The active sisters need your help to remain one of the best sororities on campus. And why wouldn’t you want your class to be #1 and have bragging rights and a plaque to be displayed in our new chapter room!?!? I want to be a team captain, how do I sign up? If you are interested in becoming a team captain for your class year please contact Michelle (michelle.boss@gmail.com) for more information and to get signed up. I want to support the campaign, what should I do next? Currently we have several options for donating. One-time donations can be made by check or through Paypal. Reoccurring payments can be made using Paypal. These can be made in any denomination you choose and will automatically be paid to the House Association every month for one year. Any monthly donations made will automatically be counted towards the Alumni Class Wars and all donors names will be posted on the Donor Accolades caspage.
