07/18/2007 (posted by Monica Mann) Just as Danielle said in her update on the Alumni homepage & also in her email..... construction on the house is just about done. As in all renovation schedules we have had several hiccups, but nothing that was too detrimental. TKE's construction contract was up on July 15th, but the contractors are still working on the house. I have a good feeling that they will be completely finished by August 1st. They had some finishing touches in the 2nd floor bedrooms and in the 1st floor common areas that were planned to be completed this week. They then have some work to finish in the basement, but its nothing that will take too long to finish. The girls have started to set up the house. They are working on setting up the living room, dining room & kitchen this week and next week. They are all starting to get VERY excited about showing off the house not only to potential members but also to all of you!!!! It is REALLY coming out VERY nice, I think you all will see a BIG change in it since you saw it last (however long that has been). I hope that if you have the ability, you will make a trip to TROY this year and share in the undergrads excitement about thier NEW home!! I hope you enjoy :) 05/12/2007 (posted by Monica Mann) It's official, the chapter has moved to 1661 Tibbits. I was up this weekend to help move all the chapter belongings to store them at 1661. It will be a long time until the sisters are set up as there is still a LOT of construction happening. The 1st Floor Bedrooms are just about done & they look BEAUTIFUL!!! We will have a few sisters living in those rooms over the summer starting the 19th of May. The girls are really excited about spending the summer helping to set up our new home. If the rest of the house comes out as nice as those rooms the house is really going to look amazing!! We will be having a Alumni Class Wars competition in which the plaques will be placed in the chapter room in the new chapter house for the class years who raise the most money, have the largest percentage of their class donate, and who donate the most per person on average. We are currently looking for alumni who would like to volunteer to be the captain of their class years team.
